German gaming and gambling enterprise Gauselmann Group had a productive week at the Peru Gaming Show in Lima, with World Cup fever gripping the city.

The Russia World Cup was the topic on everyone’s lips, with the South American nation qualifying for its first tournament since 1982, and the Gauselmann brands were quick to capitalise on the party atmosphere.

The football theme came to the fore for Gauselmann’s gaming and slot machine brand Merkur Gaming, with the international members of the Merkur team showing their own football allegiance by wearing the official shirts of their own national team.

Alongside Merkur Gaming were other notable member companies of the Gauselmann Group; cash-handling experts GeWeTe and, taking a keen interest in the future of the much discussed forthcoming legalisation of igaming in Peru, edict and Cashpoint – the igaming specialists.

Tomas Mieles, LatAm Sales Director for Merkur Gaming, was enthusiastic about the show, saying: “This has been a great edition of Peru Gaming Show, particularly for Merkur Gaming. We have had more visitors than ever before, the reaction to our products and games has been excellent and the marketing team’s idea of giving the booth a football theme was exactly on point.

“I would like to congratulate the show organisers on a really excellent event and also thank our staff from Peru together with our international colleagues for the hard work and dedication they showed in demonstrating Merkur Gaming to be one of the top tier one companies currently working in the vibrant market that is gaming in Peru.”
