International gaming operator Codere Group has announced the appointment of Moshe Edree, who will lead the company’s online division, reporting directly to the group’s general management.

Edree, who joins Codere with 15 years of experience of game management in the sector, will be instrumental in the firm’s new strategy which seeks to promote online business as one of the pillars of growth and development within the Latin American and European markets in which it is present. He will be responsible for strengthening the current structure and incorporating new specialised talent into the Codere business.

The aim, said Codere, is to strengthen its competitive position in Mexico and Colombia where it has recently opened up operations as well as Spain where it is enjoys a long established presence.

Codere’s Mexican operation is spread throughout different states of the Republic, with 19,607 gaming terminals, 92 establishments, 89 betting points and a racetrack located in Mexico City. In Colombia it operates 5,047 recreational machines and 10 gambling halls in about 130 municipalities throughout the country, including Bogota, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Medellin, Pasto, Cali, Ibague, Bucaramanga, Monteria, Valledupar, Pereira , Santa Marta, Tunja and Villavicencio.
