Geolocation technology specialist GeoComply has become a board-level member of the American Gaming Association (AGA). The firm’s Chairman, Anna Sainsbury, is now on the board of directors at the AGA, the premier national trade group representing the $261bn US casino industry.

Talking about the rationale behind the move, Sainsbury said: “With the rapid and seismic changes in the industry over the last year, we felt it was important to become a member of the AGA now, and support their work to drive understanding of regulated gaming across the US.”

She continued: “It’s extremely important for legislators and regulators to know how continuously improving systems and processes, such as ours, are being used to ensure compliance with State and Federal law and to better protect all iGaming players in the US.”

Stacy Papadopoulos, Senior Vice President of Industry Services at the association, stated: “We are pleased to have GeoComply join the AGA as a core member and welcome Anna to our board. Suppliers like GeoComply serve an important role in the gaming ecosystem and having them active in the AGA benefits our members and the industry as a whole. With the expansion of iGaming and sports betting opportunities in the US, their expertise on both the regulatory and operational side is invaluable.”
