The Indiana Gaming Commission has given the green light for the FanDuel Sportsbook to launch online sports betting in the Hoosier State.

The mobile sports betting launch will be carried out in partnership with Blue Chip Casino, and will mark the third online sportsbook in the state following launches by BetRivers and DraftKings Sportsbook on October 3. FanDuel’s sports betting app will be live in four states following the launch in Indiana.

Just last month, FanDuel launched its retail operations in Indiana via its partnership with Boyd Gaming-owned Blue Chip Casino and Belterra Casino. It is hoped that the launch of mobile sports betting will support the sportsbook’s ascent through the Indiana sports betting market.

As more operators roll out mobile sports betting, it is expected that Indiana handle will continue to grow, having started strongly in September with $35 million in handle and $8.5 million in revenue.

The news follows shortly after USA Sports Gaming LLC outlined plans to launch its BetIndiana mobile sportsbook in collaboration with Spectacle Entertainment

The launch of the mobile sportsbook, which is awaiting the approval of the IGC, follows on from the debut of mobile, online sports wagering in the state earlier this month.
