Rivers Casino Philadelphia debuts following SugarHouse re-brand

Philadelphia’s SugarHouse Casino has completed its previously announced re-brand to become the new Rivers Casino Philadelphia

The re-brand, which sees no change in ownership and was announced in June, is part of a $15m investment into the property on Delaware Avenue that began earlier this month with the unveiling of the brand new BetRivers Sportsbook.

Greg Carlin, CEO of Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Rush Street Gaming, stated: “Having a unified brand will provide a seamless customer experience across the Commonwealth with our bricks-and-mortar casinos, mobile and online, and even our sportsbooks, all part of the Rivers Casino family.”

The all-new $5 million state-of-the-art BetRivers Sportsbook, which is three times the size of its previous and located in the space formerly occupied by the Lucky Red bar, forms one of multiple planned upgrades featured within the total investment that also includes a redesigned gaming floor and new amenities, such as Jack’s Bar + Grill.

Along with these changes, Rush Street Gaming, who owns and operates Rivers Casino Philadelphia as well as properties in Pennsylvania, Illinois and New York , announced it would continue its commitment as a community partner to the city of Philadelphia.

Rob Long, general manager of Rivers Casino Philadelphia, added: “We’re excited for our guests to experience all the incredible new features Rivers Casino Philadelphia has to offer. We’re supremely devoted to our terrific Team Members and our loyal guests. It’s a privilege for Rivers to be a longstanding partner to the Fishtown community and to Philly.”

As part of the transition to Rivers, Philadelphia is set to benefit from ‘Rivers Gives,’ a community relations program which will see team members volunteer 2,000 hours annually to the Fishtown neighborhood and surrounding areas.

Moreover, the scheme will also see donation locations established adjacent to the gaming floor which will allow guests to join Rivers in supporting monthly initiatives that will benefit local nonprofits.

The re-brand also follows on from the multi-year partnership between BetRivers, the Wells Fargo Center and the Philadelphia Flyers, which saw the BetRivers.com Sports Lounge and the Rivers Casino Philadelphia Sports Lounge unveiled at the Wells Fargo Center.
