SBC news network grows with Lottery Daily launch

The industry-leading SBC news network has grown further with the launch of Lottery Daily, a site focused on developments in the global lottery sector.

As with SBC’s existing betting and gaming industry sites, Lottery Daily will deliver a mix of breaking news, expert insights and in-depth interviews with high-profile figures.

The content will concentrate on a vital part of the gambling ecosystem, with news and features on the retail and digital operations of lotteries around the world, regulatory developments and the latest technology.

Lottery Daily is the tenth website in SBC’s expanding media operation, which attracts a monthly audience of more than 200,000 unique visitors from the gambling and sports industries, and also publishes the bimonthly SBC Magazine.

Andrew McCarron, Managing Director of SBC, said: “We’ve successfully covered major developments in the lottery business on our established sites over the past couple of years. But with many state lotteries now offering a greater range of products, while also facing increased competition from commercial operators, the time is right for the sector to have a dedicated news platform.

“We intend to make Lottery Daily the go-to site for news about the industry, while also giving lottery executives a platform to share their views and providing suppliers with a highly effective way of reaching and engaging with their target market.”

SBC is already an established name in the international lottery business and has a strategic partnership with the Global Lottery Monitoring System (GLMS), as well as being an associate member of The European Lotteries.

Both September’s SBC Summit in Barcelona and October’s Betting on Sports Europe event in London will have Lottery Forums, while next week’s groundbreaking SBC Digital Summit has a dedicated Lottery Day (Wednesday 29 April).

McCarron added: “The lottery track at the SBC Digital Summit has an agenda focused on what lotteries can do to adapt to the changing market conditions brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. With expert speakers from Danske Spil, Veikkaus, Nederlandse Loterij, Hrvatska Lutrija, GLMS and a number of US state lotteries, the day is sure to provide the audience with invaluable insights on dealing with the crisis and ideas for recovering from it.”
