Live! Casino has opened in Pittsburgh, the first of two new Cordish Companies’ properties coming to the state of Pennsylvania. The $150m Pittsburgh venue will be followed by Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, which is scheduled to open in early 2021.

“Live! Casino is a world-class gaming and entertainment venue that will be a true destination for the area and a powerful driver of new jobs and taxes for the Commonwealth and the local community for decades to come.”
With construction completed in just 12 months, the Pittsburgh venue is expected to bring more than 500 permanent jobs to the area, alongside a $188m annual boost to the local economy.
“Live! Casino Pittsburgh will serve as a transformative development that will create maximum community benefits for Westmoreland County and Hempfield Township,” said Sean Sullivan, the venue’s General Manager.
The 100,000sq.ft property boasts 750 slots and 30 live-action table games, as well as the FanDuel Sportsbook. The ground-floor casino is for patrons aged 21 and over but the second level is aimed at all ages, with a range of entertainment and food options, including live music and non-casino games.
A key feature is the 445-seat, two-level Sports & Social Steel City sports restaurant, gaming venue and lounge, offering guests what Live! is calling “the ultimate sports fan experience”. The first floor is home to the official FanDuel Sportsbook and Lounge.
The venue has also incorporated a wide range of COVID-safe hygiene and sanitization features, via the Play It Safe program. “We’ve made it a priority to provide a safe environment for our team members and guests,” said General Manager Sullivan. “Play It Safe employs extraordinary measures that meet and exceed the state’s COVID-19 guidelines. We want our guests to have fun and feel safe.”
