This week’s inaugural Stadia Sports Betting Innovation Summit is set to bring together senior leaders from some of the biggest brands in sports, entertainment and media, together with innovative startups, to discuss the impact of the ever-changing industry landscape on their organizations.
Hosted by Stadia Ventures, the St Louis-headquartered global Sports Innovation Hub for early stage investment in sports and esports, the virtual event takes place on Thursday May 13th from 10am to 12pm CST.
The Summit opens with a fireside chat with Sue Schneider, VP, Growth & Strategy, Americas at SBC, during which the industry veteran will share her thoughts on the progress made since the repeal of PASPA.
The session will be followed by the event’s first panel, Traditional Sports + Sports Betting, which will examine the relationship between legal sports betting operators and the teams, leagues, entertainment and media brands that are racing to sign partnerships with them.
Those ready to offer their insights on how sports betting has achieved mainstream acceptance so quickly and share ideas about the likely next developments for the nascent industry include Raphael Poplock (SVP of Business Development & Strategic Partnerships for Bleacher Report), Rob Pietroforte (Director of M&A at Genius Sports Group), Eric Rimsky (Senior Director of Fantasy & Betting Partnerships for the NBA), and Andrew Brown (VP of Global Strategy at WWE).
The Summit will conclude with Startups Navigating The Sports Betting Landscape, which will see founders and investors provide the inside track on how to tackle the industry’s fast-evolving ecosystem and changing customer demographics, and the business models needed for success.
