Oddspedia: New Jersey entry a major milestone in our growth

Since the US gave the green light for states to legalize gambling, many sportsbooks have set their eyes on New Jersey – and for Oddspedia, the Garden State was an obvious starting point for its US journey.

Having gained a licence from the New Jersey Department of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE), all of the state’s sport fans and bettors can now use Oddspedia services.

Oddspedia co-founder Jeton Kodia said: “We aim to make sports betting and gambling entertaining, transparent and fair, and a New Jersey license is a big step towards this goal. Oddspedia now has the privilege to inform millions of American online bettors, which is one of our key objectives.

“Oddspedia is one of the best sites for odds comparison – but it also offers so much more than that. The website has amazing sports coverage, providing livescore information on more than 30 different sports.”

Currently, Oddspedia offers coverage on the four major US sports (American football, basketball, baseball and hockey) as well as esports, tennis, futsal and handball.

The odds comparison provider noted that this wide range of content will help engage with as wide an audience as possible, while also making bettors aware of the markets available.

As the US market begins to open up even further – and with more states expected to legalize gambling in the coming months – Oddspedia believes that it is in the prime position to ‘bridge the gap between players and operators’.

But as Oddspedia seeks to make players aware of brands which may have previously been unknown to the average sports bettor, the expansion into the US market will build upon its mission to “have a sustainable business and to be a good example for responsible gambling and compliance with international regulations”.

Kodia added: “The online gambling industry, known as iGaming, is essentially a combination of sports and technology. The days when gamblers had to show up at the race track and fill out a paper ticket are in the past; now, betting on a sporting event—practically any sporting event on Earth—can be done with just a few taps on a smartphone.

“For Oddspedia, finding a place in the US presents the opportunity to build on relationships with existing partners, as well as to connect with new operators. It’s a big success for the company and we expect to transfer our experience and to be long term partners of the operators.”
