FanDuel has entered into a multi-year agreement with Brazilian multinational mass media corporation Grupo Global, providing the company with daily fantasy sports (DFS), with a focus on the launch of Cartola Express, a paid DFS platform.
Cartola Express will be operated by DFS Entretenimento as part of Cartola FC’s fantasy sports portfolio, sitting alongside the free-to-play services’ additional products integrated across Grupo Global’s digital and sports broadcasting networks.
Newly appointed FanDuel CEO Amy Howe commented: “In Cartola FC, Grupo Globo has built a pioneer in the Brazilian fantasy sports market, offering millions of players access to a first-class entertainment platform which is integrated across a vast sports media portfolio.

Grupo Global hopes the agreement with Flutter will bolster its current sports offerings. Its suite currently includes daily Brasilero Serie A programming, weekly commentary shows such as ‘The LineUp’ and its GE online sports outlet GE as well as social media and digital influencer networks.
The firm is also looking to use the collaboration to strengthen its DFS offering and build on its Cartola FC product range as well as the Cartola PRO subscription option which offers profile customizations, access to news, tips and competitions, and gift card contests per DFS round.
