Rush Street Interactive Inc (RSI) has signed former professional baseball manager and player Bobby Valentine as a brand ambassador.

With his knowledge and experience from decades in professional and collegiate sports, Valentine will provide network and social media content for RSI’s BetRivers.com and PlaySugarHouse.com. He will take part in a weekly Major League Baseball video, as well as podcast, television, and radio interviews.

“I’m excited to be joining the BetRivers team at an exciting moment in the evolution of sports betting,” said Valentine. “This partnership will allow us to share my passion for competitive sports while at the same time providing valuable commentary to fans.”

Valentine is a former Major League Baseball player for the Los Angeles Dodgers, California Angeles, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners, with a managerial career as well that includes the Texas Rangers, the Mets, the Boston Red Sox, and the championship team he led for the Chiba Lotte Marines in Japan.

He also has experience as an analyst and announcer for ESPN’s Sunday Night Baseball, NBC Sports, and as a regular contributor to MLB on Sirius. For eight years, he served as the Executive Director of Athletics for Sacred Heart University and was a three-time All-State football player in Connecticut.

Richard Schwartz, CEO of RSI, added: “We are thrilled to have Bobby Valentine, whose career spans six decades, join our BetRivers family of Brand Ambassadors. His vast knowledge and valuable MLB insights will be a tremendous asset to our sports bettors.”

Lauren Seiler, Associate Vice President of Investor Relations and Development at RSI, recently took part in the SBC Leaders podcast where she stated she believes more US states will open up to gambling in 2022 due to the revenue stream it can provide.
